How does Breakthrough solve the overwhelming problem of gender-based violence?
Breakthrough works to shift social norms that limit women and girls from reaching their full potential. We work with adolescents and young people aged 11-25 years, to encourage aspiration, agency, leadership and negotiation through our work in schools and communities. We also support them with media tools that shape public narratives.
This has resulted in a generation of young people shifting to think and act in confident, intentional ways. Girls are negotiating to stay in school, delaying marriage, exercising choices around life goals, stepping into non-traditional career paths. Boys are stepping up to contribute, support and uphold equal rights for all.
What will Breakthrough do with my donation?

How do I ensure my donations are used properly?

Much of Breakthrough’s donations are raised from concerned individuals who want to make a difference to society. We are also supported by partners who help us to increase our reach. All our partners are authorised to raise funds for Breakthrough and carry identification cards and Breakthrough authorised donation forms and literature.
Does Breakthrough get funds from elsewhere as well?
Over and above donations from Indian individuals and companies, we receive funds from globally respected foundations like Skoll Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Echidna Giving, and Girls First Fund.
